You are not broken.  Your body is not the enemy.  Your body is wise, your biggest fan, looking for the space and tools to heal.

More than 10 ago I began working with patients in the hospital setting and later in a clinic who struggled with chronic pain and illness.  I witnessed people challenged with:

  • Daily pain that limited their ability to connect with friends and family

  • Difficulty holding down a job

  • Losing themselves within their pain, illness, anxiety

  • Exhaustion and stress about when and why their pain would flare.

  • Side effects from medications

  • Medications losing their effect or never having an effect

  • Undergoing painful procedures or surgeries to try to fix their pain.

  • Isolating from the world and everything that once brought them joy

  • Settling for an existence of grinning and bearing it

It is a common phrase to share with people living with chronic pain that it is not a reasonable goal to expect their pain to be cured and that the goal is to help them learn to better cope and accept living with pain.

I felt deep in my being that this is not acceptable or true.  It might be true within the Western Medicine world, but this does not mean it is not possible to fully heal a chronic pain condition.  It requires stepping out of the mainstream matrix that is fueled by the medications, procedures, and surgeries that bring in the most money and satisfy a culture of instant gratification. 

It requires patience, time, and a willingness on the person’s part to change, to explore a new way to live, nourish, and approach healing.  

All people are capable of healing themselves once they have been taught tools to do so, ways to listen to and nourish their whole selves.

All of this has become crystal clear to me along my own journey of healing my body as well as guiding patients and clients in their own journeys.

So over the past 10 years I have been searching, researching, and training in multiple modalities to discover what it looks like to truly heal the human body on the mental, emotional, physical, energetic, sexual, and spiritual layers.

Today I work with people living with chronic pain who are motivated to explore their bodies and change their lifestyles.  I provide a safe and nurturing space for them to discover what their unique path to healing looks like.
